Bruker is the leader in MALDI based microbial identification. The MALDI Biotyper is the worldwide recognized solution for extensive and routine usage in the microbiology laboratory. We are continuously broadening our offer for microbiologists with further complementary workflows based on the MALDI Biotyper, including MBT Sepsityper for direct identification from positive blood culture, subtyping applications and resistance testing. Additionally, Bruker offers molecular tests for Invasive Fungal Diseases and CPE, and new technology, IR Biotyper, for strain typing targeting hygiene management for Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI). In 2017 Bruker have expanded their offering with antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) of bacteria and yeasts, due to the acquisition of Merlin Diagnostika GmbH. Recently, Bruker completed the acquisition of a majority interest in Hain Lifescience GmbH. Hain is an infectious disease specialist with a broad range of molecular diagnostics solutions for the detection of microbial and viral pathogens, as well as for molecular antibiotic resistance testing.
