What are microscope slides?

Microscope slides are small glass plates which have the task of fixing objects to be examined under a microscope, such as blood, urine or tissue samples. The microscope slides of our Premium line are 76 x 26 mm in size and DIN standardised (DIN ISO 8037/1). The products from the Economy line are almost identical in size, but there may be deviations of ± 0.5mm.

 

 

What distinguishes our range of microscope slides?

We offer a very wide range of slides, so you are sure to find what you are looking for. Within the product lines you will find cut and ground slides. Cut slides are preferred for routine microscopy and offer great flexibility. Ground slides prevent cuts due to the ground edges. If you want to label and categorise your slides, it is best to choose slides with matted edges. You also have the choice between slides with and without cellophane.

 

Please note:

- Our slides are washed and directly suitable for use

- Only suitable for single use

- Please store in a dry and cool place

- Avoid large temperature fluctuations during storage and use

- Strong cooling causes dew point undershooting and thus condensation between the glasses

- Be aware of the risk of injury and take appropriate safety measures, e.g. wearing gloves
